IOWA'S RIGHT TO WORK LAW
  • 2. Sioux City cannot afford yet another impediment to business and many businesses already look more favorably upon neighboring Nebraska and South Dakota, relocate there and their absence is felt in all of us shouldering the heavy load in taxes. 3) Passing "fair share" is bad for workers. I spoke with a union representative who worked hard in Iowa by keeping members abreast of issues, working closely with them, and sending out frequent newsletters. After relocating to Massachusetts, he found out that the union reps scoffed there. Because all workers were required to join the union, they did not have to work to keep their members in the union and work hard to represent them. Keeping Iowa's Right to Work Law is good for businesses, but just as importantly, it is best for workers.
